Fujita Pottery, Gifu, Japan
“Kobiki” or “Kohiki” is a method of pottery involving a layer of liquid white clay known as a ‘slip’ to be applied over the original darker clay prior to glazing. The slip application adds a soft white to the pottery and a rustic texture that together give pieces a warm, homely feel. And just like every home, no two are the same. The character of these bowls is further accentuated by the intentionally uneven, undulating edges that help turn each of your matcha sessions into unique and personal experiences.
Features an unglazed roughened clay bottom to prevent slipping especially during whisking.
Made in Japan.
