As the sunsets, the potter reaches her hand to the horizon. She then slowly draws her outstretched fingers back to her palm, bringing with her the full palette of dusk with its dreamy hues of pinks, purples and greys. All the while she's kept a potter's wheel steadily turning. She now gently places her hand on the spinning clay, imparting the full celestial spectrum of nightfall onto what is to become this chawan aptly named "Yuyake".
The Celestial Dusk matcha bowl is as practical as it is graceful - with its straight body, ample depth and textural underside, it suits those who like to whisk their matcha with vigour while taking solace in drinking it all in at day's end.
