The city of Hejian in Hubei Province is home to the world's largest number of glass-makers, in particular specialists in heat-resistant wares. Hejian takes great pride in its borosilicate teapots, understanding the need for the right composition to reduce thermal expansion and contraction suitable for tea brewing right through its snowy winters. It also understands the importance of tea culture as the nation's bountiful tea enthusiasts seek out their expertise for compatible glassware to prepare their favourite beverage with safety and style.
The design brief for the Smart Swivel Teapot was to create a tea brewing vessel that resonates with modern aesthetics while demonstrating reverence for traditional flash-steeping tea preparation. So out of this came its revolutionary unique spherical, rotary glass brewing chamber, holding 200ml per steep to allow for quick brewing and with its roll-back swivel, you can pour one infusion while simultaneously preparing the next - effectively doubling the holding capacity. Simply rotate the brewing chamber to release each infusion - no more messy handling of tea strainers that come with usual teapots, no more worrying about tea sitting for too long.
Delivered with style and to spec, the toughness of the glass, the brewing speed and its overall capacity makes the Smart Swivel Teapot ideal for those requiring a timely yet abundant brew. Suitable for both hospo service and home-use.
p.s. for compatible brew times, simply follow our 200ml guidelines for each tea
Key Features:
1. Easily brew like a pro. Tea leaves are cleanly separated from the brew without having to handle messy strainers.
2. Great for cafes - prepare x2 infusions (400ml) simultaneously for sit-down customers or individual 6oz/200ml steeps for take-away cups.
3. Also great for home-office use, fast and abundant brewing at your desk while being able to spin the brewing chamber like a desk toy!

1. Place tea leaves in the round brewing chamber.
2. Push the lid filter in place.
3. Pour water through the lid filter, filling the brewing chamber in line with the top edge of the lower pot (same as the top edge of the steel band around the brewing chamber).
4, Once the brewing time has reached, rotate the handle to decant the infusion into the lower pot.
5. Serve now, or to make another infusion, refill the brewing chamber.
If another infusion is made:
6. Pour the first infusion into your teacup while the next infusion is still steeping. As you pour the first infusion from the lower pot, the brewing chamber on top will roll back, preventing your subsequent infusion from spilling.
7. Once your subsequent infusion is ready, repeat steps 4-5.
