The Hayashis’ organic take on the matcha-iri genmaicha, a tea of particular popularity in recent years. Ideal for those who find comfort of the congee, broth-like feel of a genmaicha while preferring more green-tea flavour.
As this genmaicha is laced with matcha, it will brew quicker than a traditional genmaicha and will be best on a lower temperature. Doing so shall yield a well-balanced cup, toasty on the backdrop but with a refreshing ocean spray at the front.
