2019 Intentions

We each have a role to play. These roles do not just exist in a linear fashion either - they orbit, they float, they slip around different planes of relativity and most importantly, they evolve.

Since conception, we’ve danced a tight tango with Chinese origins, seeking them, promoting them and always fascinated by them. Even though many remain unaware, China is the cradle to all that is tea and for that, we’ll always pay homage.

A new guard has emerged to continue this message. Sometimes delivered with naivety, occasionally smatterings of pretension but yet often, with good intentions. And it’s because of the latter that I refrain from cynicism and opt just to offer a different take.

So 2019 will be a year where we attempt to give you a fuller picture of tea’s motherland, inclusive of current geopolitical impacts. Legendary fables and farm-to-table romanticism given greater perspective. There are upsides in the near future to the increase regulation on Chinese exports too but in the meantime, in between time we’re exploring other exciting regions and purposes too.

The journey continues. Love and understanding is the constant while the world around us and including us, shall change, hopefully for the better.
