Menghai Tea Factory, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China
A selection of broad mature leaves with young buds are carefully sundried and combined to form this highest-graded small sheng bowl tea. Expect strong aromatics, high notes abound as the atmosphere is flooded with incense on first rinse. Those that like the cool, bright and brisk including sharp-oceanic and mineral notes could take to this right away. The astute collector will let this mellow for three to five years then either enjoy its mellower yet lasting aftertaste or rake in the proceeds of its rise in value.
